Natural Therapies for Body | Mind |Spirit
I am located in Bay Area, California. My business is in Walnut Creek, California, but I also provide nutrition and wellness consultations online and have had clients from various parts of the world. I provide nutrition and wellness consulting, transpersonal energy healing and Reiki, and Thai Yoga stretching therapy.
I was born in an area of former Yugoslavia, now known as Bosnia. I lived in Bosnia and Croatia and due to the civil war that started in 1991 in Croatia and 1992 in Bosnia, I had to leave my home country and most of my family (other than my parents and my sister) behind. I lived in Bulgaria for 3 years before moving to the United States in 1995.
I have a B.S. degree in Industrial Psychology. I’ve always been fascinated by the human psyche and that’s what initially drew me to study Psychology. In more recent years I have obtained various certifications, which include functional health coach, nutritional endocrinology practitioner, insulin resistance coach, gluten practitioner, reiki master, transpersonal energy healing counselor, mind-body balance therapist and stretching therapist.
My hobbies include spending time in nature (hiking, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding), yoga, road trips and travel, spending time with friends and family, cuddling with my cats, attending self-improvement workshops and retreats, volunteering at animal sanctuaries.
When I was 30 years old, I was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness – stage 4 colon cancer. A tumor the size of peach was found in my colon and the cancer had metastasized to my liver. According to the most optimistic statistics, my chances of living another 5 years were about 12% with conventional treatment. Over a period of 2 years, I endured multiple surgeries and chemotherapy treatments. I didn’t want to become a statistic and did a lot of holistic therapies in addition to the conventional treatments in order to increase my chances of survival. After the official treatment was over and cancer was no longer detected on the scans, I went through a rather rough transition from being a cancer patient back into the “normal” life.
As happy and grateful as I was to be done with the treatment and to be alive, there were days when I was so exhausted, I could barely move. The toxic treatment has taken a toll on my body and there wasn’t anyone in the medical world to guide me through this transition period. As put myself back together piece by piece and went from surviving to thriving, I became very passionate about helping others heal, too. I have been happily married for 8 years to a wonderful person who stuck with me through it all and without whom I wouldn’t be here today.
I truly believe that the life struggles (escaping from the genocide in Bosnia) and health struggles (stage 4 cancer) I went through have happened to me for a reason and helped me realize my life’s purpose – to guide others on how to uncover their own healing potential by optimizing nutrition, effective detoxification programs, mind-body awareness, and stress reduction through radical self-care.
I have learned about the various benefits of CBD, aloe and turmeric over time and in my healing journey have used (and continue to use) all of these potent plants. I was happy to learn about Regenrus as I never thought I’d be able to find a single product with all of the ingredients in one, plus offering it in liposomal delivery, therefore minimizing how much we have to take in and maximizing how much our bodies can actually absorb. I believe that we are not what we ingest, but what we ABSORB, and most of us absorb only a fraction of the supplements we take. This was certainly the case with me after having multiple gut surgeries and I find that it’s the case with most of my clients as well.
I believe that we all have a tremendous control over our vitality, health, and happiness. Our food and lifestyle are the most powerful tools we can use to restore balance.
